Sundays and Button Downs

Well guys.  Here we are, already one month down into 2016.  How are those new years resolutions holding up??  😉

Once in awhile I’ll panic about how fast time is going by, and I had one of those days this past weekend.  Glad to be spending time with the people I love as we leisurely meandered through Santana Row in San Jose watching people go by on this slightly cloudy day, I heaved a sigh and thought about what a struggle the last year has been for me.  I felt like I was going nowhere towards fulfilling my goals and spinning my wheels as hard as I can but getting no traction.  Nonetheless it was nothing a good meal out with loved ones couldn’t fix.  And maybe a new skirt or two… [cough]

Borrowed from the boys

A classic button down is one of my favorite things to wear, especially boyfriend fits..  They’re easy to layer over tanks or graphic tees, and comfortable to layer under jackets and coats.  I think 7 out of 10 times when I’m dressed enough to be taking pictures, I’ll be in a button down.

I have short legs so finding jeans at a good length is no small feat, and ones with details at the hem are almost always a no no because it’s likely it’ll interfere with the inevitable rolling of the hem.  These ALLSAINTS ones thought aren’t terribly long for my 28″ – 30″ inseam, and the zip detail looks pretty cool paired with any type of footwear.

Photos taken by my beau. He’s one of those people that no matter what camera you hand him, from cell phones to the most expensive DSLR, he’ll manage to snap blurry photos.  I’m actually starting to think it’s a talent.  It’s getting better though (maybe?).

Anyone else had an introspective weekend like mine?  I’d love to know!
