Black and white – Free People love and more button downs

Yea, I have an unhealthy addiction to button down shirts, all in neutral colors.

For Valentine’s Day, my beau ended up getting me a solid state drive (SSD) for my desktop.  I still use my desktop regularly to do any design editing and blogging work, I really really despise tiny laptops screens.  SSD is nerd talk for crazy fast hard drive with no moving parts.  Think of accessing a USB memory disc versus a CD, which is roughly what a traditional hard drive is; no spinning = faster reading.   We installed it and of course like all things computer related, things are never as easy as they seem.  Ended up spending the whole weekend trying to get the little shit to work, and I’m glad we were able to get it done in the end without having to reinstall Windows and all my software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc etc).  PHEW!!  I didn’t think I would be able to post at all this week!

Anyway, crisis averted and I love the gift; my desktop is so much faster and working in Photoshop and Illustrator is now so snappy and effortless.

So besides being chained by the computer and fixing it all weekend, I wore my favorite Free People button down; I’m so addicted to this shirt.  The waffle knit is so soft and comfortable, and the extreme high low hem feels so girly and romantic.  I was feeling a tad lazy so I cheated my way out with a basic pair of black tights and paired with dressier heels.
