Lengths – long and longer

Oh ALLSAINTS how do I love thee, let me count the ways.

I picked up this sweater dress (along with a few other things, totally guilty) during a winter sale and I’ve never looked back.  I think I might’ve been giggling like a maniac all the way out the door.

To dress around unfortunate short legs, you either have to be very careful with outfit proportions or go oddly long.  This ALLSAINTS dress was definitely on the lengthier side and it hit at an awkward point on my thighs so I paired it with a two slit maxi skirt to hide it.  Hiding it in…plain sight, I suppose; playing with lengths.  I love the cut out detail on the left arm, and the asymmetrical hem adds an edge.

I also decided to throw in this cheery vermilion Coach bag in the mix just to brighten up the monochrome a bit.  I try! 😉

Platform sneakers had their moment a few years back but I still love them.  They give me the height I so need and still maintain the casual vibe; 2 birds with one stone.

The reason I’m such a huge fan of ALLSAINTS is their unique designs and superior construction for all things considered, a retail chain.  Yes they do belong in the upper echelon of chains but if you’re shopping designer, you’d be hard pressed to find the drapes and creativity that ALLSAINTS inject into their line for the prices they charge.  It’s definitely not in my normal budget by any means but they are the destination I return to again and again when I’ve got funds to burn, and the pieces I end up acquiring are timeless and worth it.

That’s all for today folks, keep it up it’s almost the weekend!  Let me know below if you’re familiar with ALLSAINTS and what you think of them, I live for your thoughts!
