A lightweight stripe woven button down is just what summer ordered.
Featuring H&M stripe button down and Oak and Fort cardigan
The Bay Area has a micro weather climate, meaning you can go north or south by a few miles and the temperature can change 5 or 10 degrees. Having a second layer in hand is always a prudent decision, and I love this solid Oak and Fort number. I’ve had this stripe tunic length button down from H&M for ages, and it’s still one of my closet solids after all those years. I love it so much I wash it in a laundry bag and treat it like it’s Chanel!
Shop the look:
As careful of a shopper I try to be and only purchase higher price point items that I absolutely love, often times I still find myself babying my fast fashion chain items more than my expensive items. It’s ironic, but because of cheap fabrication and construction, apparel from those chains tend to often require hand washing (which is so obnoxious); although with proper care even items that cost $9.99 from Forever 21 can keep for a long time! I can’t even tell you how old this button down from H&M is, it’s been ages and I love it to death.
If your someone who wants to take better care of your fast fashion items but don’t have the time, try some individual laundry bags! You can get them for cheap from places like Daiso or eBay; I heavily favor Asian made ones because they always feature finer/smoother meshes that won’t rub on your delicates and are dirt cheap.
I would love to know your thoughts on my look, and if you have any fast fashion closet items you treasure more than your designer items!
