Shirt dresses are addicting – so easy to wear and they look good on everyone.
An ashy shirt dress and booties
The retail business is constantly going up and down. Some years you’ll get genuinely good sales, and others, bullshit Black Friday deals. This year is one of those good ones, can you guys feel it?
Shop the look:
I was able to snatch this Aritzia linen dress for $60 down from $150. Yums. Sales tend to send my non-fashion friends into a tizzy and I rarely take the bait, but occasionally it can be so good.
When you shop sales you have to keep the CPW in mind – cost per wear. Just because a usually astronomical item is suddenly discounted into your reach, first – hold on there. Consider your current state of finances, because justifications involving “I’m saving so much money because it’s on sale!” are not exactly true. No, you’re just spending money you never would’ve otherwise spent. How many times will you actually wear this? If that red tag is just too alluring, think of things like rent…food…even that full price [insert item here] you’ve been lusting after for ages – this money can totally go towards that instead! Don’t lie to yourself; you know deep down in your heart if it’s something you would’ve splurged on if you ever had the money.
If it’s not, move on. Unless you’re bank, than go for it.
Oh, and booties again! Even though I regularly wear them during the summer, I’m so ready for fall. Cooler temperatures please; thanks!
