Yup, this dress is as comfortable as it looks.  There really is no better definition for “simple chic”!

Oak & Fort shirt tie knit dress

Comfort was actually not on my mind when I acquired this fabulous dress until several people inquired about it and pointed out how it must be so comfortable.  Indeed it is.  The shirt tie detail it is a bit trendy and I worried if it’ll still look good in a year but I figured a cinched waist detail can be timeless.

Oak and Fort dress (sold out, similar) // Clark boot sandals // Rebecca Minkoff Backpack

I normally do tend to stay away from garments with such a recognizable and trend driven detail, but the easy silhouette and comfort of this Oak and Fort dress won me over.  Plus the price was more than reasonable.  It’s been a tough few weeks to find time to shoot and post; I had to get creative on this one and sneak it in on my way back from a trip – it was around 6pm and still plenty of light so we stopped at a nearby neighborhood and post office that’s closed and snapped a few photos.  It’s a bonus that this shirt dress allowed me to run around all day like a crazy person and still look good enough for a shoot after a long car ride!

In other news, have you been following the Olympics?  It’s so exciting to watch these world class athletes compete, imagine being the best of the best in what you do!  Inspiring!
